New Friend

Here is our new friend Leo. He stayed the night while his humans went for a visit.

He is a puppy. A Young Puppy. Which means he cannot stop moving or investigating. But he is quite smart. He figured out the Doggy Door! I think he may have even figured 'why' to use the doggy door.

It also means the cat-monster Louis is very offended by his existence.
Mostly.
But Leo is young and bounces back from being stalked and cornered (and then rescued) and is happy to just be here. And doesn't hold it against said cat monster of course.

He is also 'handy' and likes to play whack-a-pug, which Lilly is not so thrilled with.
But they have found they rambunctious play is something they both very much agree on.
Running, jumping, snapping, sniffing, etc.
You know the routine.

In fact, go here to see them at play in the Park.
And cookies.
They also agree on cookies.
And chewing on rawhides.

Tongue-tastic!

HOT!

Too darn hot.

But quite nice while running in the forest. And the grass felt awfully good on the belly.

Of course, Bubbs and Abs thought there should have been a river to swim in.

Working Dog

Yes, so you see, I am not just a pretty face.
I have a Job. I am a Real Estate Pug.

I have been out selling and showing and negotiating since my earliest days- I even had a my own desk!

Here I am with our friends Chris & Jovie while they make some difficult decisions during a negotiation.
Sometimes I need to help with the paperwork, sometimes clients just need a hug.

I am especially gifted at helping people relax and see more clearly what the real issues are. Sometimes the conversations can run from Family issues and how a parent is doing, to changes at work that might affect financing!

But at the end of the day, I have persevered and worked it all out and helped the clients (and my Sarah) figure out what they need to do, and a dog can take a break!

More friends

Here I am with Bubba & Abby again- we did some dress up fun for Halloween one year- I think the dress is still in the closet.
Abbs & I decided we just don't do hats.
But don't you think Bubs looks FAB as a bumblebee!
This is Louis- my oldest friend.
He kind of Rules the Roost, if you catch my drift.
Actually, most of my bigger friends are just terrified of him. But to be fair, he does have sharp toes.
I am not sure why he thinks the big dogs are so wrong... but he basically whacks everyone a few times. But then he is fine- maybe he will steal a warm spot, but he is the boss, so who am I to argue?
I seem to have a lot of Irish Wolfhound friends! Which is great of course! They always seem to have food leftover in their bowls, and I wouldn't be much of a friend if I let it sit there and get all stale, so I do my best to help.
It can be a bit of a stretch to see eye to eye on all things, but a good sniff seems to equalize all, donchaknow.
Well, I will get some more pictures posted here of other friends pretty soon. I just have to get the humans motivated to do it.
Any good tips on motivating them?

Friends

This is Buddy and myself at Thanksgiving 2006. For some reason we got left in the car.

Maybe our appetites for Turkey were too well known?

But anyway, we are related somehow through complicated human-canine family trees. Great guy, pretty mellow for a Terrier.

Bubba & Abby are great friends and always come along to pick me up for walkies in the woods. I think we were going for a jaunt in the woods near The Evergreen State College this day.

Abigail is such a cutie! She will be so annoyed to see I got this picture of her while she was sleeping!

Strider is an Alaskan Klee Kai- he is very rare and knows he is special. Just look at his ears as he chews up that compressed rawhide donut! And young!

He is very thoughtful and brings things to share when he stays over.

Is it finally Spring?

Sometimes you just gotta wish for sunlight... and all the things that sunlight means: no rain, warmed up snoozing places, sun-kissed fur.

And looong snooozy nappps...

I hope this bit of sunshine today means Spring is here so I can go stretch out in the grass and chase the dragonflies and go camping. Because I certainly am tired of that yellow rainjacket!
